Abades (Arico) This area is quite remote situated halfway between Los Cristianos and Candaleria heading up towards Santa Cruz. It does however have its own personal charm with its rugged terrain, and streets lined with bungalows and villas. The whole village consists of white-washed buildings giving it a traditional Spanish flavour. It is on the coastline, has its own sandy beach popular with swimmers and a small selection of bars and restaurants. Although the area is very multinational, many of the Islands Canarian people flock here at weekends to enjoy Abades natural beaches and its waters.
